A NEW ERA

A NEW ERA

A NEW ERA OF CONSTRUCTION

The new era of construction is here! Some old, outdated practices of construction, soon to be a thing of the past, whilst new approaches, forward thinking and modern methods of construction and asset management become the future.

our highlights and forward thinking concepts:

01

Being Technologically advanced

Advanced technologies present enormous growth potential for construction and the world in general.

Technologies such as the Internet of Things, industrial data, advanced manufacturing, robotics, 3D printing, blockchain technologies and artificial intelligence offer a range of opportunities that we will promote to expand and continue to innovate our solutions, products and services for the future.

02

Utilising The Digital Twin

A digital twin is, in essence, a computer program that uses real world data to create simulations that can predict how a product or process will perform.

A Digital Twin is a representation of a physical object, process or service. Whether that be a 3D solid object or a digital replica of an asset in the physical world, we will harness technologies to replicate the processes in order to collect data to predict how they will perform.

03

Total Digital transformation

Digital transformation is the integration of digital technology into all areas of a business, fundamentally enhancing how we operate and deliver value to customers.

04

Agility

In the current volatile climate we have recognised the requirement for nimbleness, strength, speed and coordination and have combined these to provide reassurance and certainty to our customers.

ENHANCING RETURN ON IMPACT

Return on impact is a term loosely used in finance and soon to be construction and asset management, with the aim to build momentum around design initiatives.

We will be intentional about planning for the measurement of impact from the outset, setting ourselves up for success by declaring realistic goals against status quo baselines, to then generate positive, measurable social and environmental positive impacts alongside a financial return.

  • WEB 1.0

Web 1.0 was the first stage of the world wide web evolution where most participants were consumers of content, and the creators were typically developers who built websites that contained information served up mainly in text or image format. A web for companies.

  • WEB 2.0

Web 2.0 also known as the participative social web, highlighted user-generated content, usability, and interoperability for end users. Interaction and collaboration with each other was allowed by Web 2.0 in a social media dialogue as the creator of user-generated content in a virtual community. This was in essence an enhanced version of Web 1.0. A web for the community.

  • WEB 3.0

Web 3.0 is a web for the individual. Decentralisation is at the core of Web 3.0, this means that rather than being controlled by governments and corporations, as is the case with today’s internet, it will be controlled by the individuals.

A NEW ERA

WEB 3.0

Blockchain features heavily in Web 3.0 and is a relatively new method of storing data online, which is built around the two core concepts of encryption and distributed computing. AI will also play a big part in web3.

This is due to the heavy involvement of machine-to-machine communication and decision-making that will be needed to run many web3 applications.

NFT’s are a big part of the evolution and this is where many people have become aware and interested in the space. NFT stands for ‘non fungible token’ and is a unique token or data unit that is stored on a blockchain. An NFT is linked to a digital asset and certifies its ownership by storing associated information on the blockchain.

Therefore, every NFT has its value and can be used to trade or sell associated digital assets.

The final importance of Web 3.0 is the Metaverse. The term “metaverse” covers the next iteration of the internet’s front-end – the user interface through which we interact with the online world, communicate with other users, and manipulate data.
